When songwriting, Eli Goffa seeks inspiration from his own life experiences, as well as from the life stories he gets from the people he meets. A meeting, a farewell, a dream, or anything between reality and fiction... all these can provide the ingredients for Eli's latest songs. As long as Eli's inner spirit gets fired from time to time, he can pour out his soul to an audience that’s often pinned to the spot by his richly arranged voice. The playful cynicism with which he presents his songs creates a cheerful note during his performances. The secret recipe for Eli's compositions may well come from his father's record collection, which he found in the attic. Rootsy elements from the 60's and 70's affect Eli when writing his music.

As a duo he played support for Bent Van Looy, Hooverphonic and Frances in a.o. AB, Roma and Handelsbeurs and was regularly seen on festivals in 2017 with his full band. The Depot in Leuven recently appointed him Artist in Residence.

The single "How 'bout a little love" is currently in the playlist of NPO Radio 5 (NL), while it braved the playlist of Radio 2 (BE) for about ten weeks. His last single "When all hell breaks loose" was also on the playlist of Radio 1 (BE) for about ten weeks.

Now his first album is released where he worked with producer David Poltrock and eminences like Greg Gordon (USA), Monique Harcum and Ward Neirynck. The new album "Written in the stars" is available both online and on vinyl.
