Saxophonist Bart Defoort’s versatility as a musician attracts him to many different musical genres ranging from swinging hard bop over lyrical European and modern jazz to big-band and more. His own sound, interaction, story, lyricism, swing and groove are vital to his arrangements. Bart has been a musician with the Brussels Jazz Orchestra since it was established in 1993. As a composer, he brought together different music ensembles that resulted in the production of five records that were applauded by the press and audience and brought him to the stage of acclaimed jazz festivals such as Jazz Middelheim.
