MXDO
Ever since the mid-eighties, production house MetX has focused on musical and educational projects that reflect Brussels' cultural diversity. For the Balcony Edition MetX presents a special and unique jazz formation: the MetX Diaspora Orchestra (MXDO) featuring Luc Mishalle, Driss Filali and Hicham Bilali.

Driss Filali is a mâalem or ‘gnawa-master’ and a member of the gnawa-jazz band Marockin’ Brass. He is also co-artistic coordinator of Karkaba, a gnawa training program facilitated by MetX.  Luc Mishalle, founder of and driving force behind MetX, is a musician with a uniquely diverse and impressive track record. Renowned Brussels-based gnawa artist Hicham Bilali completes this exceptional gnawa-jazz fusion project, playing traditional Morrocan percussion instruments like the krakeb and t'bel

Place du Conseil 1, 1070 Anderlecht
Anderlecht is the third-largest municipality in Brussels. It is known for its urban side, but do you also know its rural side? In addition to parks and ponds, you will find the green and agricultural area of Neerpede located on the outskirts of the town. More and more young vegetable growers are setting up a business there to work towards short and sustainable food chains.
