With the National Lottery, Lotto Brussels Jazz Weekend has brought a reliable and strategic partner on board. The National Lottery wants to help ensure that culture remains accessible to the general public and also to people with reduced mobility, physical or mental disabilities and people in a vulnerable situation. Something to which both organisations attach great importance. The financial contribution of the National Lottery guarantees the continuity of this large-scale event.
Joke Vermoere, National Lottery spokesperson: "Thanks to their participation, the players ensure that the National Lottery can give a financial boost in many areas. The diversity of supported projects and organisations is important so that our very diverse group of players can always feel connected to one initiative or another. The Lotto Brussels Jazz Weekend is also about bringing people together and connecting them in a relaxed way. We are proud to be able to put our shoulders to the wheel with our popular lottery brand Lotto."
The urban festival has a broad focus on jazz and attracts about 325.000 visitors who can enjoy an outdoor programme on Brussels' central squares, an indoor programme at more than 30 venues, a brass parade throughout the city and dozens of initiatives closely involving the local cultural fabric. With about 100 concerts, the European capital will be immersed in an atmosphere of music for an entire weekend.
Steven Palmaers, managing partner Lotto Brussels Jazz Weekend: "This collaboration offers opportunities to take our jazz festival to new heights and nurture ambitious plans for the future. With the support of our partners including the Brussels-Capital Region, City of Brussels, the National Lottery and OMER., the momentum has been set to enshrine our local engagements and raise our international image in view of Brussels2030 and Belgium's 200th birthday."
Lotto Brussels Jazz Weekend will take place from 26 - 28 May. The programme will be announced soon.
